Snipers Emboldened by Terrorist Video

The "Sniper of Baghdad," known also as "Juba," celebrated the end of the holy month of Ramadan by distributing a video compilation of what he claimed were many of his kills of American soldiers, according to Pentagon policy reports.
The sniper videos are a key terrorist strategy because they believe the stories aired about sniper shootings, and footage of sniper shootings, generate fear and demoralizes the American people. After snipers create videos and add in narrative touting their skills, they distribute them as widely as possible via Web sites and media outlets.
This most recent video discuss the insurgents’ training process, and skill levels in shooting and hiding among the local residents. It also includes a staged interview with a militant Islamic leader who discusses the use and significance of snipers as an insurgent tactic.
