Cindy Sheehan Won't Go Away

Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan popped up yesterday to disrupt a gathering of the new Democrat Congress. I thought this rather interesting since some have discounted the disgruntled Military Mom as down for the count. Instead, she has come out swinging despite being ignored by the MSM and liberals lately, who probably owe their rise back to power to this most vocal war protestor and Bush basher.

Ultimately I doubt Cindy’s grandstanding will do little to sway anyone who is not already against the war, especially among Democrats, but it does mean President Bush must continue on the offensive pushing the Iraq War, not only overseas but here at home as well.

Modern warfare not only portends combat action between armies, but also involves maintaining morale here at home. If Vietnam has taught us anything it is this: we cannot ignore American public opinion when our troops are at risk, even if the conflict involves minimal casualties.
