NY Times: War Causes Death

The Grey Lady's "Duh" moment:

The heightened American street presence may already have contributed to an increase in the percentage of American deaths that occur in Baghdad.

I suppose there would be less casualties if the troops stayed safely in the Green Zone, like many reporters. But then they couldn't finish the mission and come home, as so many Americans want.

Thankfully, the increased street presence has led to a decline in civilian casualties.
