Not Serious about Security

I was visiting one of our local government offices this morning, and before I could push through the door, I was met by a very alert female security guard. She proceeded to ask whether I was carrying a concealed weapon, and at first I though she was going to frisk me ( no such luck though, woof!). Later, I thought if I was criminal packing heat and planned to shoot up the place, why would I tell her?

After all that's happened lately, from 9/11 to Virginia Tech, I'm afraid our government still doesn't get it.
