Iraq Report Released

Some good news and some bad. Story from Breitbart:

Bush administration report on Iraq, to be released Thursday, will
show there has been satisfactory progress on eight benchmarks, unsatisfactory
progress on another eight and mixed results on the other two, administration
officials said.
The mixed-results review largely shows that the Iraqis have
made little progress on many of their political goals, including enacting
long-promised legislation, but have met some goals to reduce violence and
increase security, said the officials, who requested anonymity because the
report had not yet been made public.

The jist of the report, which you can read here, is that the Iraq Military is doing good, the new democratically elected government, not so much. Sounds much like our own Democracy doesn't it? The Iraqi's have joined the modern world!

Jules Crittenden makes a good point. There seems to be more discussion in the news on the War on the War, than on the War itself.

Also, Bill Roggio has analysis of the 18 Benchmarks.

And Murdoc reveals the shocking truth- who are in league to demand a deadline for the withdrawal of US troops?
