Prepping for Arctic Wars

Here is Canada's Prime Minister Harper via IndieScribe:

"In an effort to strengthen territorial claims in the Arctic, Canada will build
an army training centre and construct a deep-sea military port in the heart of
the Northwest Passage, Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced Friday while
touring the region."

Well, I'm pleased that the Canucks feel they should defend something, but isn't this all a distraction from the war against radical Islam? By moving our fleet to Guam, the US seems to be picking a fight with China, or stirring up old Cold War animosities with missile defense moving to Europe. Meanwhile we again put the Third World on the back burner, as we did after Vietnam, only this time, I think, to our peril.
