Save the Half Hour News Hour!

(See new Update on bottom)Via Mediabistro. Email addresses after the post:

In a memo to senior producers this afternoon, FNC's SVP of
programming, Bill Shine announced the network "will not continue the Half Hour
News Hour beyond its current 15 episode run." Shine did leave the door open,
however: "we are considering ways to retool the show for future scheduling
needs."
...The first airing, February 18 was a hit, with more than 1.4
million viewers. The show averaged 258,000 viewers (25-54 demo) in its last 10
airings, winning its time slot all but once.

So it wins its time slot consistently but will be shelved. Sounds politically motivated to me. With the 2008 Elections just getting underway, the only comical voice we have now will be Bush, Rove, Cheney bashing from the networks. How redundant! Anyway, if you want diversity on television, below are Email addresses to Fox where you can express your concerns:

Update-What the...? Just got this email from FoxNews "Thank you for your email. We appreciate your comments on our programming. The 1/2 Hour News Hour has not been cancelled. It airs on Sundays at 10 PM."
Did someone not get a Memo? We all read the press release. I'll let you know how this turns out.
