Revolting Darwinism

This report on the ongoing battle between Evolution and Religion is from the Economist:

THE “Atlas of Creation” runs to 770 pages and is
lavishlyillustrated with photographs of fossils and living animals, interlaced
withquotations from the Koran. Its author claims to prove not only the falsehood
ofCharles Darwin's theory of evolution by natural selection, but the links
between“Darwinism” and such diverse evils as communism, fascism and terrorism.
Inrecent weeks the “Atlas de la Création” has been arriving unsolicited and
freeof charge at schools and universities across French-speaking Europe. It is
thelatest sign of a revolt against the theories of Darwin, on which virtually
thewhole of modern biology is based, that is gathering momentum in many parts
ofthe world.

It all makes since, "survival of the fittest" has always been a tyrant's excuse for crushing the poor and weak underfoot. It's also interesting that the Decline of the West can be traced to the general acceptance by academia of Darwin's rambling theories.

I've written on this subject before, that the poorer and more religious areas of the world don't hate us because of Iraq, but our secular ideals and Hollywood values, or lack thereof. You see the fallout when Richard Gere smooched an Indian movie star, something that would have been barely noticed in San Francisco if he'd groped Madonna. Now they are burning him in effigy and out for his head. Can't blame this on Bush.
