It's still the Terrorism, Stupid!

The Media went crazy yesterday and the weekend over some comments from Alan Greenspan's new book, which supposedly said the Iraq War was "all about oil". Well, this typical Media frenzy soon died down, as Mike at the Monkey Tennis Centre explains:

Then, as suddenly as it had begun, it was all over. This morning, Greenspan confirmed that securing global oil supplies was "not the administration's motive," although he said he had presented the White House with the case for why removing Hussein was important for the global economy.

It's crazy to believe the Iraq War is just about oil, just as it would be to discount the issue altogether. The global economy is run on oil, including all those Hollywood Cadillacs and Democrat corporate jets, and likely the power running John Edwards multi-million dollar mansion. But the war itself has always been about keeping the terrorists from attacking again, and transforming the culture of tyranny in the Middle East which breeds them.
