Dems Want Image Boost

On National Security issues, the Democrats realize they are weak, according to Rep. Jane Harmon of California:

“The failure of Democrats to articulate a compelling message and policy position on national security issues spelled doom for our party during the last election cycle,” said Rep. Jane Harman, D-Calif.

We hear this all the time, if they could just get past the "Blame America First" attitude. Says a Republican:

Carl Forti, spokesman for the National Republican Congressional Committee, scoffed at Harman’s effort.
“Clearly Republicans have an advantage on military issues, and I can point to the voting record of every Democratic leader in the House and Senate to prove that, but if Ms. Harman wants to raise money to promote that horrible voting record then all the more power to her,”

So far, their principle military policy has been "Ask the French what they think!"
