Army chief Gen. J Peter Schoomaker praised the US Army for its superior perfomance in the War on Terror:
Chief of Staff Gen. J Peter Schoomaker praised the Army’s performance during the past four years of war on Tuesday, and said its a standard soldiers will have to uphold in the many years of fighting that still lay ahead.
“This is the first time in our history that we have fought a protracted war with an all volunteer force,” the chief reminded the attendees at a lunch during the Association of the United States Army’s annual meeting.
...“It’s been over four years since 11 September, 2001; this war on terror has now lasted longer than the 19 months we fought World War I and longer than the time we entered and fought World War II,”
They should also be praised for only 2000 casualties so far, compared to the 405,399 from WW2.
