Jack Murtha's Big Blunder

Austin Bay says Murtha is a "tool of the left":

Murtha’s foolish crack doesn’t quite complete the man’s transformation from respected veteran and competent member of Congress to the Left’s latest fool tool, but it comes terribly close. I didn’t expect Murtha to make this mistake. Debating policy is the man’s job; undermining American institutions is not. But that’s exactly what Murtha did: undermine, in time of war, an essential element of our democracy, our ability to man and field a citizen army. This is why it is perfectly appropriate for General Pace to deliver a soft but effective riposte. Murtha went beyond appropriate political rhetoric and principled opposition and the congressman’s muted response indicates he knows it.
