Major Bill Walsh USAF-R


Did you know Channel 5 Charleston's Bill Walsh is a major in the Air Force Reserves? Bill and his team recently made a video that's getting some notice:







...the 315th Airlift Wing’s mission video, “Reaching Across the
Globe,” has earned its writer an Emmy nomination.
Maj. Bill Walsh, a reserve
public affairs officer with the Charleston Air Force Base, S.C., unit, is a
contender for the Short Form Writing award for Outstanding Achievement in
Television Crafts. His work on the video was recognized by the Southeast Chapter
of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, which hosts a regional
Emmy award program.
Walsh is an Emmy veteran, having been nominated three
times and winning twice for his work as a civilian meteorologist for a local
television station.
