Top 5 US Generals

For those who say war never solves anything:

1). George Washington-At the Battle of Yorktown in 1781, established American-style Democracy.

2). Andrew Jackson- Though he didn’t win the war, the Treaty of Ghent having already been signed, at the Battle of New Orleans in 1815 he sustained American Democracy and reminded our enemies it wasn’t an aberration.

3). Winfield Scott-His Victory at Mexico City, thus winning the West , allowed for American Democracy to spread from Sea to Sea.

4). US Grant-His defeat of Robert E. Lee proved American Democracy could endure its greatest trial.

5). George Marshall-Though he never led troops in battle, his creation of an overwhelming US Army from almost nothing allowed for the export of Democracy overseas, a phenomena that continues to this day!
